At first I looked at this game and thought, \"oh, it\'s just a rip off of War Robots\". Yes, it is extraordinary similar, and yes, they copied a lot of mechanics, but that\'s a good thing. War Robots ruined itself with pay2play a long time ago, and Mech Arena is great reminder of how it used to be. Of course there are things you can buy to progress faster, but everything is unlocked as you level up. If you were a fan of the way War Robots used to be, then Mech Arena is what you\'ve been waiting for. Switched to this game from War Robots, so glad I did. WR just got so insane with all the options and power ups, you HAD to pay to have a decent chance at playing. MA is so much simpler but still very fun. Of course there are still players running around with max gear, but at least you have a chance of beating them with better skills and decently upgraded mechs (not that hard). Hope they stay true to this play style for the long run
